Lysa Pullover by Hilary Smith Callis
Lysa Pullover by Hilary Smith Callis
Lysa (a Swedish verb for light) is a round-yoked pullover with a simple, modern colourwork pattern. The twinkling stripes encircling the yoke and sleeve cuffs provide endless possibilities for play with colour, and are a perfect way for an adventurous beginner to dip his or her toe into the colorwork pool. The sweater is constructed from the top down, in the round, with (optional) short rows lowering the front collar in a flattering way and subtle waist shaping providing for a nice fit.
Sample shown in size 32” / 81.5 cm with 1”/ 2.5 cm of negative ease.
Specific yardage requirements:
MC: Worsted weight yarn 685 (790, 880, 985, 1075, 1180, 1280, 1375, 1475) yds / 625 (720, 805, 900, 985, 1080, 1170, 1255, 1350) m
CC: 30 (30, 35, 50, 55, 60, 60, 65, 70) yds / 27 (27, 32, 46, 50, 55, 55, 59, 64) m of a yarn similar to MC
ERRATUM:
3/19/14: End of page 3, after completing the short rows, there is no need to “knit to end of rnd, working wraps together with wrapped sts”, as there are no wraps between the last wrap and the end of the rnd. The pattern now reads, simply, “Knit to end of rnd.”
