Come and spend a relaxing Sunday morning making a Christmas Stocking decoration. Stella Ackroyd has devised two patterns that you can choose from: a simple striped stocking that is knit flat and seamed, plus a 'proper' sock version, made in the round in miniature, that will be an excellent introduction to sock knitting techniques for sock novices.

Both sock options are made with 4ply yarn, and some mini balls of 4ply Shetland yarn will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own yarn scraps too and have some fun creating stocking ornaments to suit your taste.

You will need to bring your own needles: a pair of 3mm straight needles to make the flat, seamed version, or either a set of 3mm DPNs or an 80cm x 3mm circular for magic loop, if you plan to make the mini ‘proper’ sock in the round.

Please let me know when you book if you have any dietary requirements. If you are likely to need to buy needles, it might be a good idea to let me know that beforehand so I can be sure to have enough for everyone!
