This workshop will explore how to create interwoven cables in the style of Celtic and Pictish artwork. We will create a sampler based on Lucy Hague’s Cinioch hat design, a copy of which is included in the cost of your workshop. This design will give us the opportunity to try:

• Provisional cast on

• Closed loop cables

• Reading cable charts

• Grafting in pattern

The cost of the workshop includes:

• purchase, printout and Ravelry download of Lucy Hague’s Cinioch hat pattern

• buffet lunch (please let me know in advance of the day if you have any dietary requirements)

• light refreshments during the workshop

• tuition

• VAT

You will also need 100g of DK weight yarn. I have not included the yarn in the workshop cost so that you can choose a yarn you want to work with. You are welcome to bring your own from your stash or choose something to buy in the shop. Suitable yarns would include Baa Ram Ewe Woodnote DK or Cambrian Mountains DK

Please bring a pair of 4mm needles with you.
