Seedling Bonnet by Stella Ackroyd
Seedling Bonnet by Stella Ackroyd
This cute little bonnet is worked flat in Irish moss stitch (US double seed stitch) to the back shaping. The back of the hat is worked in rounds (to avoid bulky seams) and the textured pattern follows through cleverly, resulting in allover gorgeousness.
The delicate i-cord edging around the neck edge ensures a perfectly snug fit, and the ties are worked as a continuation of the edging so that there is no sewing up on completion - just fasten off the loose ends, pop it on and head out on grand adventures!
All four sizes can be worked from less than 50gm of sport weight yarn and the project is suitable for experienced knitters and beginner knitters who want to learn new techniques.
