All UK deliveries are sent via Royal Mail 1st Class or Tracked 24 and should be with you within 2 to 4 working days. International orders are send by the Royal Mail International Tracked service. Delivery times to international destinations will vary.
UK delivery charge includes VAT.
These postage costs are for retail customers purchasing 'average' quantities of yarn for their own personal use. For small overseas orders or for very large or valuable orders, please email me to discuss other delivery options.
VAT and Import Taxes
UK Customers (excluding Northern Ireland):
Fine Fettle Fibres is VAT registered (VAT number 351490508). This means that VAT is charged on goods, services and shipping at the appropriate rate. All prices shown are shown on the website inclusive of VAT. Most items for sale in this online shop are standard-rated for VAT i.e. 20%. Pattern books and magazines are zero-rated for VAT. Owing to the limitations of this website’s ability to display VAT data, it appears at checkout as if 20% VAT has been applied to book and magazine purchases. Please be reassured that no VAT has been charged for these items and the price you pay for them is correct.
EU and Northern Ireland customers:
I am very sorry to say that, following the introduction of new General Product Safety Regulations on 13 December 2024, I am no longer able to supply customers in the EU or Northern Ireland as I am currently unable to meet the requirements laid out in the regulations. I will keep the situation under review but am doubtful that it will ever be feasible or economically viable for me to make this possible again.
International customers outside the EU:
I can continue to take online orders from overseas customers outside the EU as the new VAT rules and GPSR do not apply in these cases. However, when the parcel arrives in the destination country it is handled as an import and may attract customs duty or other import charges. Import taxes are the responsibility of the customer and will vary from country to country. Please check with the customs office in your own country for further information. I’m sorry but I have no control over any of these charges.
Returns
Every order is handled with great care and my goal is for you to be completely delighted with your purchase. Refunds are given if goods are faulty. If goods are not faulty but you have simply changed your mind, or you have yarn left over from a project, I am happy to exchange any unused items in their original state for other goods to the same value.
Please take the time to read descriptions carefully. If you are concerned about colour variations, please check on multiple screens. I try my best to represent the colours and tones in all our products honestly and clearly but it is not always possible to reproduce colours exactly.
Cancellations
As most workshops incur upfront costs for us for materials, and sometimes for tutors' fees, I can only offer a refund in the event of you cancelling your workshop booking if I am able to fill the space. Please contact me as soon as you can if you cannot come to a workshop you have booked. All cancellations are subject to a £10 admin fee. If I have to cancel a whole workshop for any reason, your payment will be refunded in full.
